I've been showcased!!

I popped into the Less is More Challenge blog to check out this weeks challenge and what a wonderful surprise. They showcased my purple card. And see my badge displayed just to right  These are some fabulous ladies, which makes even more special. You need to stop over there and check them out!

I have some ideas for this weeks challenge rolling around in my head. (There's lots of room). But first I have to show off my latest digi.   

Tell me she is just sweet.  I cut the right side of the image and slid some DP behind her. I colored her with Copics, but really the pretty little fairy from A Day For Daisies, did all the work.  In case you can't read the sentiment from Cornish Heritage Farms, it reads: " Plant a seed of friendship, reap a bouquet of happiness, by Louis L. Kaufman."

No, I didn't miss spell again. This time it's on purpose.  A little play on words you know. That doesn't mean there may not be some little miss somewhere else.  I always notice them a few days after a post.

Anyway, I want to share something.  I found a new blogger. Really she found me. She only started blogging this month and she's very talented.  Stop by and show Carole Ann some love.  Leave a comment.

This is a pre-blog stamp.  It's unmounted, and when I purchased it, it didn't seem important to know the company.  I think it's an Elzybells stamp.  I colored toad (or frog if your prefer) with Copics and matted the image with pink card stock then I mounted on some white card stock that I embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The flowers are from Martha Stewart and the sentiments were computer generated.

Looking for Robins

So far we have been experiencing a unusual mild winter here in Sioux City, Iowa.  Those Robins may be tricked into coming back early.  We've had some January days in the 50's and even one at 64 degrees. My friend, Sherri, bought a new snow blower last fall.  I told her she needs to buy one every year.

This challenge this week at Simply Less is Moore is week-50-one-layer-birds and my Robin fits the bill.

I just love this image from A Day For Daisies.  I colored this with Copics and added the sentiment from Inkadinkdo. So easy!

The Color Purple

Quick post.  It's a good thing I don't make a living writing novels.  I got nothing clever to say, nothing to comment on, nothing to explain.  What happened? I always got something to say. Not today. Nodda! Nope, not a single line. So there you have it. And here is my card.

The stamp is Stampabilities and the sentiment is Hero Arts. The little butterfly is from Cheery Lynn.
I am entering this in Simply Less is Moore Week-49-Colour Challenge.

I think I must ask them why they use "Moore" in their blog address and not "More". But then they will probably wonder why I have misspelled scissors in my blog address. The creator of this blog cannot proof read, is a little dyslectic and a poor speller. Creative people can't be bothered with details, right?

Puppy dog tails

This Mo image just captured everything what little boys are.  Her images all tell a story and it can be whatever you like. This reminds me so much of my boys when they were little.

I really had a hard time taking this photo. I really wanted to pick up the stripes in his overalls. I took some shots inside and some outside. I think this is an inside shot.

"Justin's Ice Cream"  was colored with Prisma pencils and Gamsol except for the skin which is colored with Copics. I used my liquid pearls for the ice cream. The sentiment is from Stampendous, which I was able to manipulate into a wave line. I mounted the image onto blue card stock and stitched it. I added the ribbon, then mounted everything on this pretty DP from Cosmo Cricket.  

I am entering this in Mo's digital challenge anything-goes-w-mo-image.

Favorite 2011 Mo Project

I posted this on my Splitcoast Gallery awhile back. I just forgot to post it here. It was one of my favorites, so I'm blaming it holiday overload.  I only remembered it when I ran across this Mo DP2 Challenge which is "Favorite 2011 Mo Project."

This is defiantly one of My favorite Mo images.  I colored her with Copics and shaded with Prisma pencils. The little poinsettia is a PSX stamp and the sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink.  I added some 3D paint for the snow. Then I stitched it to some blue/gray and used cream card stock as the base.

I thought it turned out pretty, but after view what the DT created.. OMG!

Jumbo Peony

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

Will you look at the magnificent stamp that I bought and then just tucked away into a drawer.  I bought this just before Thanksgiving and I was already into Christmas mode.

This Jumbo Peony Stampendous lives up to it's name. It is so large that it hung over on my largest acrylic block.  I stamped it with Memento tuxedo black and shaded it with Copic BV02 and V09.  "Friend" is also from Stampendous. I dotted the "i" with a little pink jewel then lightly sponged some pink here and there.
The card was cut with a Spellbinder's die.
