Would you like to Swing on a Star?

This is for a challenge I entered at SCS.

This is a Cuddly Buddly digi that I colored with Prisma Colors and Gamsol. cut and embossed with Life Style Crafts die, and mount on DCWV DP. The little flowers and button were from my stash.

Hope everyone is staying warm. It's cold here in Iowa!!

What have I been up to?

Every since I started blogging, I have been torn between my blog and Splitcoast Stampers gallery.
I can do one on a regular basis, but then the other gets neglected.  So I have been haning out at SCS.

This does not mean I am going to close shop since I still have blogs that I follow and this will allow me to stay in contact.  I just decided to do one BIG post each month.  You can find me at Splitcoast any time as GAILNM. (Really creative name :))

Products used can be found by visiting me at GAILNM at Splitcoast Stampers.

See ya in a few weeks!

Cuddly Buddly Free Starter Kit

I am so excited to show you Cuddly Buddly's new FREE Apry starter Set, which comes in 9 different color combos! WOW! And Cuddly Buddly has made it even easier to download your purchases. Cuddly Buddly now has 859 digi's to choose from.

Here is the card that I made with this background.  I did made a slight mistake in that I had my printer set to print grey scale.  But as it turns out it was a happy accident, because it went perfectly with this adorable Cuddly Buddly digi I had colored.

Here's the Recipe:

Yup! I used spell check for "Chrysanthemum".

I am so in love with digi's.  Would someone tell me how I still manage to get ink on my fingers??
Look what I did with this Cuddly Buddly corner didgi.

R&R

I took a couple days off from work to just relax and catch up on blogging and cards.  After one day, I feel renewed! I didn't even call into my work computer.

Here is something I put together today.  Acctually I made 2.  Maybe I'll post the other one tomorrow.

I used the Gina K "A Year of Flowers" set for the flowers which I cut and colored with my pencils and  placed in the basket.  I've had this Spellbinders basket die for several years and have never used it.  I used a Martha Stewart punch for my linen table cloth.

The Thinking of You is a Sampendous stamp and the tiny blutterfliues are a Fiskers punch.

Smiles to all...

A little pottery

I post everything I make at Splitcoast.  You can see my gallery here.  Here are a couple of cards that I forgot to post to my blog.  I used the same stamp for both cards and came up with very different results.

I did this one for a Splitcoast CAS challenge to use dark blue and white. Maybe the blues were not so dark, but that's a rather nice think about Splitcoast, they don't call you out on every detail.  I did a side step card for this and did a little freehand on the side panels.

Card #1
Stamp - Serendipity
Sentiment - Hero Arts
Coloring Medium - Prisma Pencils and Gamsol

Again here is the same stamp only a little more colorful and with some DP and die cuts. I actually like the one better.

Card #2

Sentiment - A Muse Stamp

Early Fall

Well it has finally cooled down hear in Iowa.  The lack of rain has many tree's turning brown.  Last year this area along the Missouri River we suffered devastating floods, this year it's been drought and heat. Say some prayers for our Farmers.

On a lighter note, here is my first Autumn card.

Sentiment: Computer Generated
Coloring Medium: Colored Pencil and Gamsol touched up with Copics.

Snowman from Heaven

July is the first month that I didn't make my 3 card per month Christmas Card Challenge at Splitcoast.
Here is #3.  Now I can start on August.

I fell in love with this little guy and the sentiment was perfect.  I bought this fabulous book years ago "The Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Card" by Linda LaTourelle. It is just filled with the best poems and sentiments for every occasion.

The Border Fence

Lulu is not allowed beyond this point.  She stays on our four seasons porch. Don't feel too bad for her. That's where hubby spends most of his time too.  When she's properly trained, she will be allowed in the rest of the house.

Pic is a little fuzzy.  She doesn't stay still for long.

Yes, she has gotten her head stuck.

Now that's a BIG paw !!!!

Lots of bobbles

So, I'm almost out of time to finish my July 3 card commitment for the Splitcoast Christmas Card Challenge.
Cuddly Buddly came to my aid with the pretty didgi.

Again, look at how versatile a digi can be.   I pasted the digi into my Word document 3 times and inverted the outer panels. It may be a little quirky, but then so am I.

Product list:
Sentiment - Hero Arts

Meet the new princes

This is Lulu. She is a 9 wk old American Bulldog. She was given to my husband by a friend.  "Friend" now owes us new carpet. Still she is pretty cute. She was a discount puppy because she has one blue eye.  Discounts are a good thing, right?

I needed to make a thank you card for her and this Cuddly Buddly digi is just perfect.

Wedding Pics

As promised here is a wedding picture of my handsome son with his new bride holding their daughter.

And here is Emersyn with her aunt and BFF.

My granddaughter (on the right) with her her aunt who is 1 year younger than her. I have to tell you this sweet memorable thing that happened.  My granddaughter who is 2-1/2 was to be the flower girl, which we knew may or may not happen.  So my son is standing at the front of the churchr waiting for Emmy and the bride to walk down the isle and we hear this wailing.  We waited and waited until here comes Emmy an here aunt holding hands running down the isle together.  When they get right up behind us, Emmy sees a little boy she goes to preschool with. She stopped, gave him a hug and continued on up to our son.

Generous Snow Buddy

I am so late with this card. Did you ever have a day where you have to continually do, undo and redo?  Well, I've had a week of that.  That's what you get for working 50 hrs a week and then try to work from home on the weekend.  I think I'm getting too old for this.

Here is my overdue DT weekly card.

I love snowmen and easel cards.  The sentiment is computer generated.

4th of July Fireworks

I have been admiring this digi for a long time.  One thing that kept me from purchasing it, is that I couldn't come close to coloring it up the way I've seen the DT members do it. But that's why they are on team. Anyway here is my 4th of July take on it.

I just colored Mo's digi,Ragged-Romeo with Prisma pencils and Gamsol, then mounted it up on red white & blue.

It's Christmas again

I just remembered last night that I owed 1 more card to the Splitcoast Christmas Card Challenge. So it was Toby Tumbler to the rescue. Isn't he cute?

I colored this Cuddly Buddly image with Copics and cut him out with a Spellbinders die, then mounted it on some black card stock.  Then I printed this fabulous Digi DP, also from Cuddly Buddly. The DP was cut using a Fisckers punch. The DP was also mounted on black cardstock, which was also mounted on white cardstock, which was also punched with Fiskers.  I then put some silver Stickles on the silver bells.

As Promised

As promised this post is not about Christmas.  Today I have three cards to demonstrate how versatile a digi can be.  These cards were all done with Cuddly Buddly digi Pachala Studio's Spring Bouquet.

This card was colored with Prisma Pencils and cut out with a Spellbinders die. I mounted the image on white card stock that was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

I really went bold with this one and blew the digi up to make a huge bouquet.  I colored this one with Copics and mounted it with some red card stock and some gingham DP from DCWV Preppy Princes.

This one, I've scaled down a bit to show more of the same DP.  This one was colored with Prisma pencils. I used the same DP DCWV Preppy Princes and added a sentiment from Hero Arts.

So the couple of weeks I've shown you some very different digi's from Cuddly Buddly.  They have nearly 800 to choose from and are periodically adding more.  Shopping is easy.

Another Christmas Card?

I know, it's 90 deg. in Iowa and I'm on a Christmas card kick. I'm just trying to fill my Christmas Card Challenge of (3) per month.  I promise,  the next card will not be Christmas.  But be honest aren't these digi's from Cuddly Buddly just irresistible?
