Too late....
I must have missed posting by minutes. I went to enter but it was closed. Maybe next time. I hope Mary J. stops by to see what I made.
Squeeking In!
Just finished this card and I want to enter it in the Ladybugs crafts challenge-12-plum-crazy-with-stitching.
I wish I had a Lady Bug Crafts image, but I was in too much of a hurry to get this done. I'll shop later.
This is a good challenge for me, because plum is not a color I use often, and I need to practice my stitching.

Here is the story behind this challenge entry. I have a follower Mary J. She left such nice comments on several of my postings, that I just had to check our her blog. She has wonderful talent. Check out her blog here. And that's how I found out about the challenge.
Image is Delicious Doodles which I colored with Copics. The sentiment is Paper Trey Ink.I also used Scribles 3D Paint and Stickles on the flower center (I can't help myself). The paper is Making Memories.

Another Puppy!
This is another digi I bought from Stitchery Bear. I decided she, Penelope, is an Irish Setter. I love her sweet little heart shaped face.
I colored Penelope with Copics and shaded with pencil and Gamsol. She was cut out with and mounted with Spellbinder's dies. The paper is My Mind's Eye. and NO Stickles.

Forced to Embellish
A while back I was commenting on how I had bought all these embellishments, but hadn't used any. Well this is a baby step and I was forced to do it. Those little flowers in the upper left hand corner are covering up a boo boo. Stamping 101 -- don't add a sentiment after the card is finished and know when to call it.
Some would not even count this as an embellishment, but you may have noticed, ribbon and Stickles have been my limit.

Gee! Do you suppose I am ready to do a different layout? You may have also noticed almost all my cards have nearly everything centered. Sometimes, I do get really wild and tie a bow off to the side.
Here's the scoop. Stamp is Stampin Up colored with Copics and pencil. The Sentiment is PTI. Paper is Cosmo Cricket. I used Spellbinders dies and I don't know who belongs to these cute little flowers.

I didn't know that!
I didn't know you could color on kraft card stock. Well, I knew you could, but I didn't know, it would turn out so good. And I must be a little clairvoyant. I just bought a couple sheets last week, then The Spotted Chick announces "That's Krafty Thursday#46" challenge using Kraft CS. I'm entering Puppy Love.
I buy the least expensive paper I can find, so maybe if this was a better quality it would have turned out even better.
This is a digi that purchased from Stitchybear Stamps. I used a combination of Copics and pencils. The stamp in the corner is TM Designs. I filled in the heart with red Stickles. I cut him out with a Spellbinders die and mounted him on some PTI paper cut with a different Spellbinders die. A little (not so straight) stitching around the edge and the white heart in the lower corner to finish.

Simpler Times
I am a Baby Boomer, and it was a much simpler time. Go back to the 50's and this would be my sister and her "steady". I think it would make a cool anniversary card for someone of that generation.
I used some clip art for the LP's. Okay, if you don't know what "steady" or a "LP" is then ask your mother or grandmother.
This is a digi that I purchased from Paper Pretties. I colored these sweethearts with pencil and Gamsol. The sentiment "Always" is StampinUp. As I said the records are a clip art that I cut out. And the little strip of DP is from Hobby Lobby.

Be Mine Valentine
That Mo Manning is so irresistible! This is one of my Christmas gifts from my friend Sherri.
I have been purchasing a lot of embellishments. Do you see any embellishments on my cards other than ribbon? Maybe they will be like my stamps. I collected stamps for a couple of years, before I made anything I liked. So one of these days be prepared for an explosion of embellishments. This image was so beautiful on it's own, I just couldn't bare to put anything with it. I hope I did it justice.
I colored "shy valentine Nessa" with Copics and shaded with pencil and Gamsol. Then a little Stickles on her petticoat and some sponging on the back round to finish. The paper is from that fabulous s.e.i "My Heart", that I bought at Ben Franklin. Since Ben is about 150 miles away, I'm going to have to find some more on line.
Got to get some beauty rest now. It's way past bed time for this old gal.

Happy Birthday Bugaboo – Birthday Challenge
Bugaboo is one year old! They are celebrating with this birthday challenge, AND they have really big sale going on. So don't miss out. Here is my card for this challenge.
For this challenge I chose Buagoo's Eggbert Clown and colored him with pencil and Gamsol. I used some Diamond Glaze on his hat, shoes, nose, mouth, balloon and the flower center and added jewels to his hat and on the tops of his shoes. The paper is Cosmo Cricket.

Hearts & Hugs
I had a great day. First lunch with Sherri, then a quick stop to Michaels. Who has a freind that would give you her only 1/2 off coupon? I do! She is the best! Then we spent the afternoon making cards at her house. But not before her cat Brady, got some loving. Her cat is so darn cute. This Penny Black cat is almost as cute.
And look! I stitched!
Jeanie, The Spotted Chick, had this great tutorial on stitched cards. It's not real straight, but maybe after I've done it a few times I'll improve.
Stamp is Penny Black which I colored with Copics. The paper is S.E.I.

My Bank Account
I've been feeling a little blue lately and unappreciated. Shame on me! A while back my sweet sister sent me an email titled "Bank Account". It's probably one that has been around, but it was the first time I had seen it and it made an impression. It is too long to post on my blog, but here is part of the email:
So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank
account of memories!
Thank you for your part in filling my Memory Bank. I am still depositing.
'Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.
So here's my card. It's one of my favorites and I've been saving it. And today I ran across High Hope's 100th Challenge Anything Goes.

Yes, I am still a little camera challenged. I wanted to show off how I punched out the balls with some coordinating paper. They were the perfect size. I colored Jiggles with Copics, used a Spellbinders circle die, a little ribbon and topped it off with some Stickles on the flower in his pocket. The paper is DCWV from Hobby Lobby.
The day is mostly over, so I'll wish everyone a deposit for their "Bank Account".
(I would be happy to forward the entire email to anyone. My email address is with my profile.)

Crazy4Challenges C4C69
Lately inspiration comes in the form of challenges. I love this stamp from Penney Black. It reminds me of my only sister and how she took care of me when I was little. She is the sweetest sister. The Challenge is color. You can see the inspiration photo here.
Here is a closeup to show off the pearls and the jewels on the tips of the camisole.
I used Copics, pencil and Gamsol and cut it out with a Spellbinders die. The paper is from my scrap bin, and I don't remember the name.

DPDC5
Finally! I have a card to post. I downloaded this digi from Doodle Pantry before Christmas. I've been really frustrated with my PC, my printer and my lack of inspiration. Well, this image is just the "pick me up" I needed and I entering him in the Doodle Pantry Challenge DPDC5.
I colored this little Doodle Pantry image with Copics and cut it out with a Spellbinder's label die. the paper is Cosmo Cricket. I punched out a couple of the butterflies from the paper and put them under these clear domes that I purchased from Paper Trey Ink.

My stash
When I decided to start this blog in November, I started with a couple of Thanksgiving cards. After that, I was on a roll with Christmas. I love making Christmas cards, so posting was easy. Now I'm just waiting for my creative juices to kick in. Lucky for me, I had a stash that I taken photos. Here is one from that stash.
The stamps front and inside are Verve. On the inside there is a cloud behind the verse which didn't show up too well in the photo. I don't remember the paper (maybe Basic Grey), but I used every bit of it. The only coloring was a little shading around the balloon. That's kind of unlike me.
