I love to color

It's a good thing I don't make a cards for a living.  Not that the card takes so long to make. It just takes me forever to make up my mind on how to bring it all together.

This image is a free digi from Beccy's place. I just loved coloring this with my Copics.

Stamp:           Beccy's Place & Hampton Art (Sentiment)

A New Look. A new commitment.

If your new to my blog, Welcome.  If you follow my blog, you may have thought that I'm not making cards.  Well, I've been hanging out at Splitcoast Stampers.  But now I am ready to recommit to my blog, and to visiting you, who have supported me.  Big thanks to everyone of you gifted and wonderful friends.

So here is my Tah Dah!

Isn't this Hambo stamp and sentiment a hoot?  I used a Spellbinders die to mount it and then added a grass die.  (My friend gave me the grass).

I paper pieced her shirt and pants from scraps I have and colored the rest with Copics and Prisma pencils.

Have a glorious week everyone!

Daisies

Okay, it's April 17th and it snowing!  We are suppose to get between 7 and 8 inches of snow tomorrow!  Hello, has anyone told Mother Nature it's Spring?  Last week it was 74 deg. then snowed 3 inches the next day.

Well, these are the only daisies popping up in Iowa.  I just love this Flourishes set.  This was made for a Splitcoast color challenge.

I've done acetate before, I had a lot of trouble with this one, but it photographed beautifully.
I have however dismantled it and put it on cardstock. It just wouldn't stand up right or open all the way.

I colored this Gerber Daisies set with Prisma Pencils then I used my Copic BV08 to darken the purple. The Marianne die cut is just a corner die that I used to make a square.

Happy Spring everyone!!

I've retired!

I retired March 15th.  You would think I would have tons of time to make cards and post to my blog.
Let me tell you, retirement is exhausting.  I've been getting my physical (loads of fun there), going to the dentist (more fun) and looking for insurance.  I have perfect health except for that over weight thing.  Words of advise... Loose weight. Turns out it's a big red flag when applying for insurance.
I did get some, but it cost me about $75.00 more a month than I had planned.

I've also been cleaning drawers, washing windows and shredding papers. We have our very first joint tax returns from 1971. Do the math.

This is kind of a long post.  But I wanted you to see the fabulous office that I left behind.

March 14th - Notice the typical mess!
March 15th - All cleared out except for the cake.
I thought I would throw this in for fun. Lulu is sitting on the end table so she can get a better look at Dad blowing the snow. (Notice the rounded corner on the table. Grrrr!)

Interpretation

I had a difficult time with this digi determining what has hair and what was ribbon. I searched the web just before posting and it turns out there isn't any ribbon in her hair. It's all in the interpretation, right? She does have pearls in her hair.

Stamps - A Day For Daisies - Pearls In My Hair
I think the sentiment is a Verve Stamp.

Colored with Prisma Pencils and Gamsol.
