Post from the Past!

Since I will be torn up until April 11th when my furniture arrives, I'm been digging into my stash. This card goes back to before I started doing square cards.  It looks so little. But how about those Daisies?

The stamp is from Flourishes which I colored with a combination of Copics and Prisma Pencils with Gamsol.
The punch is Martha Stewart and the paper is from my stash (probably K&Company).

Lent the Celebration Begin!

A little play on words. Today is my birthday.  It is also the beginning of Lent, so in lieu of cake Magnum is holding fish bones.  So I will be celebrating my birthday, with no meat and one meal and no cake. My funny Husband did mention that Lent restrictions don't apply to the elderly. Plus I am giving up coffee.  It should be a great day.

I purchased Magnum with Add-On Magnum from Ladybug Crafts Inks and colored him up with Prisma pencils and Gamsol. The paper is My Mind's Eye glitter book. My friend Sherri shared those pretty flowers and brads.
I am entering this in the Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge for spring colours challenge.

It's All in the Eyes!

This little Basset Girl's eyes tell all. So sad. Sooo Sweet.  There are many people in my life, that I wish I could see more often, especially my sister.  And boy can I relate to this pup. As my birthday approaches, I look in the mirror to see someone I don't know. Someone with those hound dog eyes. Did I just compare myself with a dog??

This image is a digi from Karen's Doodles. I colored my Basset Girl with mostly Prisma pencils and Gamsol, using only a little Copics on the flowers. The pretty blue green paper is from K&Company.  You may not be able to see it well, but up in the corners is a little Stampin Up sentiment "Missing You".

Happy Monday

Here is a card I started on Saturday and finished on Sunday and am posting on Monday.  How's that for speed? Maybe I do things backwards. I color my image then spend twice that time picking out my paper.

I must have been a little shaky when I took this picture.

This is a Mo's Digital that I colored with Copics, Prisma Pencils and Gamsol.  The paper is from Basic Grey's Sugared paper pad. The image was cut out with Spellbinder's deckle dies. I also used some Martha Stewart glitter for the first time, but not the last.

That's all for now. Hope you have a great day.

CHAOS EVERYWHERE!

I don't think I planned this very well.  I had this bright idea that I wanted an new furniture for my office/craft room because nothing matches. First I had to sell my enormous beautiful oak desk. In the event I could not sell it, everything, I would have to just do with what I had.  Well, I sold it and this is what my room looks like now

This desk will eventually end up in the land fill.
This the desk I sold.

I Haven't even picked out paint or flooring. I have picked out new Ikea furniture, but haven't ordered it yet. Don't know how long I will be able to continue like this.  On TV, they do everything in two days or less. I don't think that's going to be the case here.  To top everything off, my husband is a real neat freak!

Happy Birthday Sister

I have the sweetest Sister.  Sadly we are all that is of our family.  When I was very little she took care of me a lot. She is an amazing Mother, Grandmother, wife and sister.  She is also a Breast Cancer Survivor.  She called me Sunday. She lives in Minnesota and they were having a blizzard.  Saturday, she had baked 5  cakes (all different and most likely from scratch) for her church which was canceled due to the storm.  I haven't baked 5 cakes in the last 5 years.

When I saw this stamp, I just knew I would have to use it for her birthday card.  She loves all things Victorian and she has a little area just outside her kitchen, that this image fits perfectly.

This Impression Obsession stamp is large, so there wasn't much room for DP, but I did manage to use some from my scrap bin for matting. This was colored with Copics, Prisma Pencils and Gamsol then did a little sponging with green an blue. The "Sister" stamp is from Vere Stamps. And look, I did a little embellishing with flowers by Sandylion Essentials.

For the inside, I used the same DP and used a Martha Stewart boarder punch. Then I cut an oval with my Spellbinder die for my inside.  This sentiment is one I got from a neat little book I bought, Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Card by Linda LaTourelle. A must have.
