The cross and dove were made with my Silhouette Cameo. I have some very tiny pop dots that I used under the flourishes. I also used a Paper Pen to make pearls. The sentiment was a small portion of a Stampendous stamp of a cross. The entire card and sentiment were cut using with Marianne dies

I love a good rain and this image makes me long for a nice downpour and just little thunder.

 

 

This card is going to Kathleen (AKA Kathleen Lammie) at Splitcoast Stampers. 

Kathleen has dealt with a rare disease called LAM for many years. There is no cure and it slowly progresses and worsens to the point of needing a lung transplant. That is where she is at now and will be heading to hospital soon for next step in this very scary process. We want her to know the residents of Teapotterville are behind her all the way. We got your back Kathleen!!

A Birdie Told Me

Another fun image from QKR.  One thing about entering challenges is they really challenge you! Oh wait.. that is the point isn't it? 

 The little girl on the right has the same look on her face as I do when I've discovered that I have forgotten some body's birthday. 

I am entering this in the QKR Challenge #80 - A Little Birdie Told Me.

I colored the image with pencils and now I am wishing I had used the Copics as the hues are much brighter.  I used some paper from Cosmo Cricket for my BG and cut out one of the birdies and placed on the front of the fence. The fence was cut using my Silhouette Cameo.  The sentiment was computer generated and cut with a Spellbinder die.  Finally I stitched it all up on my little Kenmore.

Groovy!

I'm starting to get my groove back!  Work and stress can really suck the creativity out of you. I get the Serendipity news letter and their current challenge was stitching.  Well, I dusted off my $49.00 sewing machine a couple of weeks ago and guess what? It still works! So I sorted through my Serenity stamp stash (say that 3 times in a row) and found this Mustang stamp that I had never used and I got all excited just like use to be about making cards.  So without further ado, tah-dah and pat on the back.....  MUSTANG!

Serendipty Challenge #29 Stitches

Serendipity Stamp - Mustang 

For the first card stamped using Memento Rich Cocoa and colored the image with my Copics and then shaded using my Prisma pencils and Gamsol.  The embossing was done with a Spellbinder rectangle die.

I did some faux stitching in the corner using a Stampin Up piercing tool and Slicci copper pen.  I braided some twine I had and added a dragonfly charm and fastened both with some Zip Dry. The pen-stripped paper is from Basic Grey. The sentiment is from Stampin-Up's Mixed Messages. 

The second card was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Blac and was also colored with Copics. But for this one I decided to sponge the background. The image was cut with a Spellbinder die and mounted on Authentique Paper and stitched up on tan cardstock.

Missing You

After working with "M" for nearly 11 years, she and 3 others will be leaving the company.  The company is under new management and the board (all family) have implemented a new policy regarding relatives working for them.  "M" is married to "J" who works there; also an uncle and a cousin.  "M" is the only one I know well and has been there the longest.  She is a smart, smart, hard working gal with a great sense of humor.  11 years of experience will be walking out the door in about 2 weeks along with her husband, uncle and cousin.

I have made this card for my friend and co-worker..

 

This was fun card to make considering the reason I've mentioned above.

Sticking Your Neck Out!

Everyone should have at least one special friend that always makes an extra effort to be there for you in good times and in bad.  Both occasions require chocolate, an they always have a plentiful supply.  They have probably stuck their neck out for you a time or two, hence these adorable geese from QKR.  I hope that I am that kind of friend too.

Shy Little Luv Bunny

I've been gone for so long, I surprised I even know how to post. I got a list of excuses for not making cards,  but when it comes down to it, you just have to make time for yourself and stuff that's relaxing and makes you happy.  That retirement thing was short lived, but after being called back 5 months ago, I think they are ready to let me go and I am more than ready to oblige.  I got a retirement party after 28 years with the company and I told them I want another one.

Isn't this the sweetest digi from QKR Stampede?  Check out their latest challenge using
hearts and kisses.  I made the heart  and kisses (xoxo) with my Silhouette Cameo.  One of the neat
things the Cameo will do is it cuts digi's and scanned images. How cool is that?  I colored my little luv bunny with Copics and popped him up with foam dots which makes him look like he's floating in air.   Did you know you can get a package of them at Michael's for $1.00?  I finished off my card with a Martha Stewart boarder punch and some pearls to fill in the corner a little.

Did you follow all that?   I tend to ramble. 

I also became a Grandma for the 3rd time on January 27th. 

When they found out they were having a boy they asked Emersyn what they should name him.
She thought Peter Pan was a really good name.
