Friend

This is my "Go To" stamp. It's good for just about any occasion. It's always there when I need it and it never let's me down. Kind of like a friend.

I just found out my friend and my daughter-in-laws mother is not doing so well.  She went through a round of Chemotherapy last year but now the cancer has returned. Last year, I made her a card every week on the day she had treatment.  She kept them all.  I think I will do a repeat this round.

The stamp is Windy Tree from Hero Arts. The sentiment "I cherish your friendship" is an  Inadinkado stamp
The DP is K&Company.  I attached some beads and mounted it on some deep chocolate brown card stock.

Fascination, Part III

My third and final lighthouse, and I'm ahead of schedule. That may be a first.

This the last of the three lighthouses I have from the Cornish Heritage Farm set, but I probably won't be the last time I use them.

#1 Son - Hubby - #2 Son

This last card was colored with Copics. I used spellbinders dies for mounting and the ship's wheel. The die in the middle is a Cuttlebug die. The paper is from Paper Studio and the sentiment is from Flourishes.  The rocks were snagged from Hubby's beautifully landscaped yard. I better put them back before he misses them. 

My favorite Summertime treat.

So I have this unmounted stamp. I am pretty sure I know it's a High Hopes stamp, but I need verification. So I go to the High Hopes online store and sure enough it's High Hopes.  However, in the process of verifying, stuff just started jumping into a basket!  Let's just say, NOT labeling can have its consequences.

Watermelon  is my most favorite summertime food.  It even surpasses (gasp!) chocolate.

I stamped on white card stock and colored her with Copics.  I wanted "Summertime",  but I had already stamped and colored her, so I couldn't do it on my PC, so I went with "Sunshine", which is a clear stamp from Snag'em Stamps.  The flower border is a sticker from Paper Studio. This is the first time, I've ever used a sticker and I just love them.  The only DP I used was as a backdrop and it is DCWV.  I did add a little Stickles to the top of the watermelon.

Patriotic Daisies.

I am entering this one in Flourishes Flourishes Star Spangled Banner Challenge.  I also used the keyword FLLCJUNE11 at Splitcoast. So if i link it back to my blog, is that entering twice?  So much to learn about blogging.   

I started out using pencil on the daisies, then switched to Twinkling H2O's.  I did some not so straight stitching and mounted on some deep blue card stock. I know as a rule (okay maybe never) flowers don't have red centers, but they were just too pretty to color over the red.

This will be a quick post.  I am so tired, I don't even have the energy to chat. (Yikes!) This is a card I made for a co-worker's birthday.

Fascination, Part II

I just love these lighthouses and this Cornish Heritage Farm set came with 3 different light houses. I made the first card for DH for Father's Day. This one will be for one of my sons.  That is if I get the 3rd card made. I have 2 sons. If I don't get the 3rd one done I will have to (Gasp!) buy cards.

I was so impressed with my ship's wheel and compass that I nearly broke my arm patting myself on my back.
One of the snowflake Spellbinders dies always reminded me of a ship's wheel. The compass is part of the stamp set. I punched the compass out and glued on the "wheel" and added  Judi Kins Diamond Glaze. I also used a Spellbinder's dies to cut out the image and mount it the perfect DP by K&Company.

Fluttering By to Say Hi.

I had a wonderful day.  I took a vacation day, went to lunch and a movie with my daughter and played with my toys the rest of the day.  I thought I'd do something a little cheery.

My little ladybug turned out rather chubby. I saw something similar a couple years ago, but I don't remember where.  I used my Spellbinder dies to cut and piece lady together, then dressed her up with some white and black perils. The little white flowers were torn from and boarder strip I purchased eons ago.  For the antennas, I used the letter "C" from an Accucut die.

After I finished her, I used a Martha Steward Punch and placed a black rickrack for a under it to make it pop a little. I also put a couple of black pop dots under her wings. The sentiment, "Just Fluttering By to Say Hi!" is from My Sentiments Exactly. The pretty red DP is from Paper Trey Ink.
