Just when you're all comfy with your laziness and your mojo has taken a walk, someone comes along and starts poking at you. A friend sent me an email suggesting that we should both promise to make a card this week.
Well, the poke was just what I needed, so thank you my friend. I can't wait to see yours.
I kind of copied this idea from an embellishment that I bought at Hobby Lobby. I folded some light weight patterned paper and using scissors, snipped around the edges to shape the butterfly. The body was cut using the Silhouette and some awesome Recollections glitter card stock. The center is brad from Making Memories. I made an embossed frame with a Life Style die.
I will be entering this in the Double "D" Challenge - Things That Fly.

Oh, sweet friend, I LOVE this butterfly and how you so cleverly created it! It's stunning, and it surely is more beautiful in real life (they always are, and I know that first hand). I love the embossing too. Beautifully done, so I guess now it's my turn, eh? Accountability is a great thing, but it can be hard. But we promised! Hugs and love! xoxo
So, Chery's the poker and you're the pokee? Well, I'm glad she poked you because this is a real treat today! You're so good at this, I miss it when you don't post. Love your pretty butterfly with its delicately colored wings and the gem embellishment. Nice simple card which I gravitate to more and more these days. I'll be watching for Cheryl's card next!
WOW! Unique and absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Double D ‘Things that Fly’ challenge! We hope you’ll come back often.
