Here in northwest Iowa we have enjoyed a beautiful Fall. It seems we can be in Winter denial until that first accumulation of snow. I do not like snow. When it falls, it is beautiful for a day or two, then it gets dirty and ugly. Still, some of my favorite cards are of Winter scenes.
If anyone has every seen Northwoods cards on display at a craft store, you will see them covered with glitter. They are really stunning. I made one feeble attempt to use the glue and glitter. I would really love to attend a workshop. Just the same, this stamp is also beautiful without the glitter.
I used an umber cardstock and a Spellbinder die frame the image. Then I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut that luscious leafy dark brown frame. Cheery Lynn die cuts embellish the corners using the same cream colored cardstock as the card base. The image was colored with Copics and a Wink of Stella highlights the icy brook.
This one goes to the Christmas Card Challenge blog and challenge-49-anything goes.
Stay warm and cozy my friends.

Gorgeous beyond belief! Love all the lacy dies & frames you used as they just made the beautiful scene even better! Fantastic coloring, as always!
A stunning scene and so beautifully colored! Really love the amber sky. Wow! Can't imagine this looking any better with glitter. I'm not very good with the sprinkle-on glitter, although I do try sometimes. I generally use Stickles. Your Silhouette-cut background is fantastic and I love the cream on cream corners.
Oh, Gail, this is gorgeous! I love Northwoods stamps and have seen many of their display boards that show off their stamps with lots of glitter! And are they beautiful! So I'm guessing this is equally as beautiful IRL! You've really colored it beautifully giving it such depth "in the woods," and I love the colors you've chosen. That dark brown frame is gorgeous, and the CL dies add just the right touch of added elegance. Stunning card, sweet friend! Hugs!
This is stunning! I used to work in a local stamp store and always loved the Northwoods boards when they would come in. You can use a Quickie glue pen and Stampendous makes a Crystal Micro Glitter that's like fairy dust to achieve the same look. Your cards are just beautiful and I'm going to follow your blog so I don't miss any. Thanks for stopping by mine and leaving your nice comment!
