Our American Bulldog, Lulu, is now 1 year old. There were many times we wondered if we would survive the puppy stage and this bread is known for being stubborn. So it was a matter of wills between one stubborn man verses one stubborn bulldog. You be the judge of who won out.
Lulu has been the best dog since taking possession of the chair.

This was a new chair before Lulu. Notice the handle. |
When the kids were growing up, they knew when Dad came into the room, they were to get up from Dads chair when he entered the room.

Oh yes I remember those days, my dog chewed every leather pair of shoes I owned. But only managed to chew one of each pair. Well at least Lulu is enjoying the chair. Very fun pictures and card.

This is the perfect card for Larry! And for Lulu! And who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? I'd say she had done a fabulous job! ha ha I can't say anything, though, because Brady had ME trained too!
Uh, oh, Lulu! Sounds like you couldn't have made a more perfect card for your hubby!
I feel a lot of unconditional love in this house for one certain dog. I'm sure he returns the love. I'm smiling from ear to ear. You go Lulu!! Perfect card too!
What a fun post. Looks like the dog won out on the chair. Poor Dad-his chair doesn't look as comfortable as the dogs chair....lol Love the card-so cute. I bet you guys had a good laugh together!

Oh, do those chairs ever look familiar. Let's see: our dog has chewed the entire MBR carpet up from the pad. Then, there was once a dining room set that had no more chairs. And then, we went and purchased a new couch and love seat. That lasted about 3 weeks. We couldn't even give it away. And of course, there was flooring in the kitchen that was torn up in one afternoon. Oh, there were so many more incidents that I can laugh at now, but at the time, I was mad as heck. Oh, and let me not forget how our dog literally pulled the AC unit off the cement block it was resting on. Oh, the money we've spent on all our dogs would add up to a nice retirement fund. But, we love them. I couldn't imagine my life without dogs. My house looks it too. Lulu is a lover for sure. They have this thing about tearing everything up before they finally settle down ... 7 or 8 years later. Huge hugs to Lulu. Anne Ryan
