I retired March 15th. You would think I would have tons of time to make cards and post to my blog.
Let me tell you, retirement is exhausting. I've been getting my physical (loads of fun there), going to the dentist (more fun) and looking for insurance. I have perfect health except for that over weight thing. Words of advise... Loose weight. Turns out it's a big red flag when applying for insurance.
I did get some, but it cost me about $75.00 more a month than I had planned.
I've also been cleaning drawers, washing windows and shredding papers. We have our very first joint tax returns from 1971. Do the math.
This is kind of a long post. But I wanted you to see the fabulous office that I left behind.

March 14th - Notice the typical mess! |

March 15th - All cleared out except for the cake. |

I thought I would throw this in for fun. Lulu is sitting on the end table so she can get a better look at Dad blowing the snow. (Notice the rounded corner on the table. Grrrr!) |

Happy retirement Gail - I am so jealous, got lots of working years ahead of me! Must have been sad still to leave your desk - my place is nowhere near as tidy as yours!!
Cute dog - lovin' the balancing act, my Lab would have fallen off!
Happy Retirement ... that looks like one mega-cake!! Lulu is a cutie :)
Congratulations! I certainly wish I were retired. Just four more years to go until Social Security...then I'm out!
Congrats on your retirement, but you will find you will have less time now to do things. I retired 6 years ago and now wonder where I found the time to go to work. Enjoy every minute.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I sure did appreciate your sweet comment. Congratulations on your retirement. Enjoy yourself.
Bear Hugs,
Carol
Yea for retirement! Happy, carefree days ahead.
I see Lulu loves wood. LOL
Happy retirement, I find the time flies, not enough hours in the day etc. Love the pic of dear sweet Lulu too :) Viv xx
Gail - I am so proud of you! Retiring cannot be an easy transition, especially with all the things you mention. But I have to say you had me laughing when I read this post! And I wanted to tell you how precious your Lulu is.
And... Lulu reminds me of my Fritz aka Fritzy, he's a pit bull/wired hair terrier mix and he has similar all-knowing eyes as Lulu. He's also blessed me with a rounded corner coffee table LOL!!!! We also have his kindred spirit sister, a white boxer named Bella (had to mention her too :). Anyway, Happy Retirement my friend!!!.
Hugs,
Audrey
