The staff

Let me start by saying, there is a lot of effort that goes into making a card.  And talent has it's price. Maybe I should replace the word "price" with.... you decide.  This is a picture I took of my desk after creating my latest masterpiece.  Note the little 4 x 4 inch square left for my poor little card.

And this is how I left it this morning

As I have mentioned before, I have a VERY tidy husband.  And he takes "tidy" to a new dimension.
Hubby is retired and takes very good care of me.  So when I returned from work this is what I found.

Notice the neat rows he made of my stamps.  I'm sure it concerned him that the bottom row did not come out to the same length as the others.

Also note the 3 cut-outs a lined up as well as my glue which is all facing the same direction.  I'm really not poking fun.  But really, is it not just a little funny?  Yes, ladies he does laundry, vacuuming and yard work.
If he ever reads this the gig up.

Now to my card which I am entering in the Simply Less is More Challenge which is the colour green.

I was really stumped with this challenge, so I started look through my inventory when I ran across this Serendipity stamp.
I took very little coloring with my green Prisma pencil.  I suppose there isn't one of you who's seen a green dove, but I think he turned out pretty.
The sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink. I added green pearls as holly berries and matted it on this pretty embossed green card stock.

By the way Hubby has a good sense of humor.  He lives with me.

I'm laughing my head off! Knowing Larry, I can see him worried that your stamps didn't come out in even rows. Lucky for you, he didn't decide to throw one away to make the rows the same! I think you need to rent him out to the rest of us who make huge messes!
The card is drop dead gorgeous! Your cards always look so elegant!

Saw your card over at Splitcoast. This is so lovely! So glad I followed the thread and got to read your hubby story!

My husband, although a tidy person, wouldn't dare venture into my craft room... it takes him all his time to stir up the courage to enter it to empty the waste bins. He calls it 'the swamp'. I wouldn't be best pleased if he tried to tidy it either as I'd never find anything.
I loved reading your post however!
Your card is super, I love the crisp embossing and I think that the dove looks great in that subtle shade of green.
Thanks so much
Chrissie

Made me smile too,my OH has his own woodcrafting area and is quite messy in there so can't complain about mine thank heavens...but he is quite tidy otherwise and he does vaccume!my daughter on the other hand is obsessed with tidyness and hates clutter, she threw out half my clothes when she tidied my wardrobe recently....which was probably a good thing lol.Your card is amazing, I adore it, love that background and the holly & pearls and dove of course..........I could go on :O) Viv xx

Love your card. Love your story even more! Can you send him out here to train my husband. I don't think he would dare to touch my supplies. Although, he does do all the cooking for me when I get busy card making, so I can't really complain. Wonderful husbands, aren't they? I better get to bed.

Gorgeous card, fabulously elegant! Do you loan him out? I would love someone to come and clear up after us! My OH is not like this at all, in fact the opposite! My crafting has turned me into a hoarder and you can't see our dining room at the moment! Would be willing to swap some stamps for the loan for, say, two weeks to sort us out? Karen x

Oh, my! What a beautiful card! This is truly outstanding! You do gorgeous work. I love this in the soft green with the embossed background and the pearls. Your desk looks like mine after one card. However, my mess seems to encompass the whole room as I'm pulling out this and that in a big hurry before work or on my lunch hour. When I finally do have a little time to just sit down and stamp I've got a big mess to clean up first. My husband wouldn't dream of trying to tidy up that wreck, but he's good about the cooking, laundry, and tidying up the rest of the house. I need a little stamp room elf to come out at night and clean it up for me!

I love your gorgeous card and I'm sure a dove would look slightly green in some lights! I really understand the satisfaction your husband gets from lining everything up neatly and needless to say my family think I'm pretty strange too... people like us have to have a good sense of humour because Life isn't neatly lined up!

Oh please can I borrow him for just a bit. I am so weird that I have to clean my desk after every card. I just can't stand to leave it. Your card is amazing. I am loving this.

Enjoyed this post...and seeing some of your craft room.
I just recently purchased this stamp from Serendipity, I like the look of it...but wasn't quite sure what to do with it. You have inspired me...
